This Is What Happens When You Are HAPPY! :)

For all you wonderful people out there- You are beautiful and perfect just the way you are. Don't let anyone ever pull you down or tell you, you can't do it. The only competition that is out there is within you, you gotta be better and better everyday. Don't be sad when you lose cause you'll learn a LOT from it. You don't need people to complete you cause God has made you amazing in a truly unique way. Stop seeing your faults and start living all the stunning abilities you have. Keep an open heart and live everyday like its the BEST day of your life. Let go of what you can't hold on to. And remember, you don't need anybody to help you along the path of your life, you can stand tall and walk with pride even if you are alone. A little company, though, just makes it a lot more fun. So live it out and SMILE!!

And never think that you are nothing cause somewhere along the line, theres going to be someone who thinks you are everything!

Don't let no one tell you, you ain't beautiful!

And its only when you keep your eyes truly open will you realize what a breathtakingly beautiful world you are living in, what extraordinary people you have around you and how damn lucky you are to be alive!

P.S- Remember laughing out loud toooo! :D

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai..Tum Nahi Samjhoge..

Okay, today the mood is on the opposite end of the pendulum, you know what I mean..!
Lemme see what I can write about today..Umm, as I saw Kuch Kuch Hota Hai yesterday, I think I should tell you about some of the lessons we can learn from a blockbuster of all times!! Seriously, who doesn't love that movie?? :P

1. Boys are S-T-U-P-I-D. No matter how much it shows, they'll never ever ever ever realize that you love them. That is, until and unless you wear a t-shirt which says I Love XYZ! Urgh!

2. Tomboys like me can never have their love interests! A girl has to shed off her total bindaas attitude and become a total sari pehen-ne waali, bindi lagane waali aadarsh naari to get the guy of her dreams! Yuck! :/

3. Somewhere there is this Faaadooo college where students instead of dozing in their classrooms get to talk about cute topics like pyaar and dosti.. How cool is that! :D

Okay! Can't think no more. If you got any points please comment! Lol.

Keep smiling all! :)

All About Love and Heartbreaks.

“Watching you walk out of my life does not make me bitter or cynical about love. But rather makes me realize that if I wanted so much to be with the wrong person how beautiful it will be when the right one comes along.”

Here are some little lessons I learnt during the course of getting infatuated, being broken hearted and eventually learning about Love-

-That indeed, when you truly love somebody, all you want is for them to be happy. It gives you a kind of satisfaction and joy to know of their happiness, that your own tears cease to matter. As somebody said-

Love? It's kind of complicated,
but I'll tell you this...
the second you're willing
to make yourself miserable
to make someone else happy,
that's love right there.

-I learnt that letting go somebody is almost as beautiful as holding on. You hold on to somebody who loves you back, you let go the person who doesn't want to be held on to.

"True love doesn't have a happy ending, because true love never ends. Letting go is one way of saying I love you."

-Expectations can turn even the most beautiful relationships bitter. You can only be responsible for the love you give, and you can NEVER force somebody to love you back. And I swear, its no joy forcing somebody to be with you.!

-Love is all about acceptance and forgiveness. Love people just the way they are, their good and bad equally. And though it might sound weird when I say it, but forgiving people is a noble thing indeed.

-Be who you are when you are with that person. The moment you have to start pretending to be somebody else-- the relationship loses it value!

- On the funny side, never ever flirt too much with somebody you are not interested in! Who knows they might start falling for you!! :P

- Too many heartbreaks can give you a kind of immunity..It starts hurting lesser and lesser every time! Believe me!

- And yes, though life may suck for the moment, one day you'll find somebody who loves you back just the way you do! These experiences are merely moulding you into somebody God wants you to be. They are preparing you for the BIG day! :)

Lets just wait for it! :)

Before I begin, my sincere apologies to the people who have opened this blog in the search of something postive. I am sorry, I am not in the state of lifting your spirits, I just can't. And yes, I know I am the one who spoke about hope and love but right now I'm just too low to think rationally.

So here I begin-

This post is dedicated to all the people I've lost; some due to misunderstandings, some because of distance and others merely because of the lack of initiative from both our sides. I lost people not by way of death but by what died in our friendships. And now I wonder if these people ever remember me, or hope the way I do that things could be the same again. You guys have been special to me, and no matter how much it hurt I've let you go. Nothing, though, fills this empty place in my heart!

This time, the one I'm going through, is like the loneliest phase of my life so far. I have lost friends I have valued more than anything, and am on the verge of losing the bestest friend I ever had. But now I am too tired to do anything. I am tired of people treating me like trash just because I love them too much. I am unwilling to do anything because somewhere I know I am not wrong.

I feel lonely. School is over and suddenly it seems like I have nobody to talk to. I know this is just a phase, this too shall pass as they say it. Time will heal me. One day hopefully it won't take as much effort to laugh or keep myself happy. And I have nobody to blame for how I feel, this is nobody's fault.

The best thing, I believe, is that I am the kind of superbrain who'll come up with the wackiest of ideas to get myself back to normal again. I'll be happy soon. Everything will be just fine.

=)

I guess there is no greater feeling in this world than the knowledge of the fact that you could bring a smile on somebody's face. :)

That you could make their life just a wee bit better than it was before. :)

That because of your kindness somebody's gonna be nice to the people around them. :)

Its sad that we fail to realize how our littlest of actions can make somebody's day. Isn't it true that a bear hug from dad can give the feeling that everything is just all right? Doesn't a smile from mom completely make your day? An 'I love you' from friends, a 'keep it up' from teachers are just the words I need to hear to keep me grinning all the time!

Funny but God made a beautiful world where indeed the best things are free. The thought just makes me smile. :)

So next time don't even think twice before giving a loved one a hug, a kiss; give a stranger your best smile, and yes, go about distributing chocolates to young kids on the street. They too need love.

The most amazing about giving out love, I believe, is the magic it creates. Not only it brightens up the day of the person who receives it but it also lightens up the very person who gives it away!

Yes indeed! Love is a wonderful feeling that binds us all together. Truth is, its the only thing that keeps the world going.

Cause He's A Real Bhai!

Sometimes I wonder whether my younger brother is biologically designed, genetically programmed to irritate me or is it something that he has learned on the way as we grow old together? Is it that he naturally likes things I find hard to tolerate or he just loves to behave that way? I wonder so cause if its all younger siblings who irritate their nice (hell yeah!) elder brothers and sisters then there must be some default in the way God created them!

You see, every time I have to sit by my brother when he's watching television, I feel like smashing the damn box! Urgh. How do I tell you. He'll watch all those umm..well intelligent channels like discovery and blah blah blah..Give me a break! I'm here watching tv to relax, not to push my brain further. duh!
And is he like trying to show me how much more smarter he is ( I swear he's not :P) through the choice of his channels. Yuck! Like I care how the biggest ship in the world was created or how tigers attack their prey. Damn! If a tiger was right in front of me, would a flashback of the show make things any better? Uffo. God ji, give my bro some brains.
I say lets go for more dumber serials. Why?
a. they need minimum brain activity= very relaxing
b. you can learn how NOT to be a total loser by NOT learning from them!

That's not all. My brother has sworn to dislike, spoil and totally RUIN everything I like. I am the kind of person who appreciates music (good music that is) AND my brother with all his remixes and DJing has pledged to spoil EVERY SINGLE SONG I LIKE! I mean you put in two beats, make the singer stammer as if he has just seen the ghost from exorcist and you call that music? What kind of a world are you living in? huh.

And yes. Its a painful fact but I have to admit it. Though my brother is 4 years younger to me, he is taller (WHY ME????). And unfortunately, my friends, he is well aware of that. Very well aware. So every time we go for a wedding, or decide to catch up with relatives and family friends this guy sticks to  me like I'm the most amazing girl in the world (which I am, though he refuses to agree!) till somebody notices and says "wow dude! You've grown so tall!". Oh, the evil smirk on his face! Somebody save me! PLEASE!!

DOES HE HATE ME? :P

Anyway, its a fact though that no matter what he does or says, I love him and he is the best brother in the world. Tolerating my tantrums, mood swings, bullying and lethargy, this guy is the perfect brother to me! I hate admitting it but I guess my choices, likes and dislikes could be quite intolerable to him too, but because he is nice he never shows it the way I do ( hey! that rhymes!). Plus he is the only guy in this world whom I love and who never breaks my heart, even though I' m meanest to him. :D And maybe, just maybe ( probability 0.0001) we elders could have been designed too in  way that we get irritated by EVERYTHING you younger siblings have decided to like. MAYBE. And we may be mean, rude, angry, withdrawn, self-obsessed and whatever adjectives you chose for us, we really love you. Maybe more than you'll ever know! :)

Nimboo Paani :)

Not a very long time back, when I used to go to school in the scorching Delhi Ki Garmiyaan, I remember waiting to go home to get a sip of a chilled glass of lemonade . Nimboo Paani, though, sounds so much more cuter! :)

The best thing about nimboo paani, I believe, is that any idiot can make it. I HATE cooking, some of my friends don't even know how to turn the gas on. A lemonade was created, discovered and invented for people like us! And if my guess is'nt wrong, BY people like us too. :P
For people who intentionally or unintentionally, consciously or unconsiously, due to some unresolved childhood conflicts or learned maladaptive behaviours (why do I have to put in psychology in everything?), uh, anyway, where was I? Yea, I was talking about that unique clumsy group of people of who just can't do without falling or tripping, in short hurting themsleves. Nimboo Paani, as it turns out, is that one divine drink that requires minimal effort, has the least possible chances of somebody getting hurt and giving the bestest product ever. I Love Nimboo paani. :D

Its got Vitamin C, its refreshing, its healthy, its sweet n sour, its THE best! :D

I wonder why people choose pesticides (as what I believe of Cold Drinks to be!) over the most delicious drinks ever like Lassi, Daab akka coconut water, juices and so much more! Hehe!

I think I should stop now, this has started to look like a product promotion thingy!

And remeber-

P.s.- I hope you keep enjoying your Nimboo Paani..! :)

The Word Called Hope

Recently I was busy reading a book called Man's Search for Meaning By Victor Frankl, a well known psychiatrist, a man who had seen the horrors of a concentration camp where people, most often than not, lost all their emotions, self respect and more so hope. It is indeed painful and sad to see what man can do to his brothers for the sheer greed of power. Yet Victor Frakl brings out to us concepts that have been observed in such situations and are now being used for our overall good under a psychiatric therapy called the Humanistic-existential therapy. He, in his book, focuses on how he survived during those times, how people around him survived, what kept them going and in a greater sense, what keeps us all going.

On the first page of the book the author makes the reader aware of one simple question that he, during his practice, had asked his depressed clients, ''Why don't you commit suicide?'' he'd ask. Ask the question to yourself now and then read further.

Most people, I guess including you, do in fact live in the hope of a better future, of fulfilling their dreams, for people they love and so on. True it is, man is an eternal optimist. In the worst of situations one always finds a striving, a hope that something better is to come. Search the internet on quotes about hope and these may be just some of the hundreds of quotes you'd come across-

-The capacity for hope is the most significant fact of life. It provides human beings with a sense of destination and the energy to get started.

-We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

-When the world says, "Give up,"
Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."

God is unfair. We all know that. How else is it that one man enjoys all the luxuries and comforts in the world and the other fights for his bare necessities? We can, at any time get deeper into this topic. You and me, we too have our share of sad stories, broken hearts and troubled times, don't we? And yes, we did NOT always deserve them. What keeps you going then? Find out and always hold on to it. I live to become somebody, to make my parents proud; my younger brother lives for the sheer joy of attending school and of being in the company of his friends. One lives for the future and the other for the present.

Recently I had also finished the book Aruna's Story by Pinki Virani. For those who don't know, its the story about Aruna Shanbaug a nurse from Karnataka . In 1973, while working at King Edward Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai, she was sexually assaulted and has been in a vegetative state since the assault (Credit: Wikipedia). God is unfair because when you read the book you come to realize what a strong person Aruna was, how she fought a destiny that would have churned her into an obedient and unquestioning housewife to eventually land up as a non-conforming, independent woman. God is unfair because instead of marrying the man she loved, Aruna ended up being in coma for 37 long years, an appeal for euthanasia from her side by Pinki Virani being turned down by the court. Why do I tell this story when I am talking about hope you may ask. No, unlike what happens in Bollywood movies, I'm not going to surprise you with an impossible happy ending. This story is told because it sure does make one realize about how lucky we are to be alive, to be conscious and to have a choice to shape our destiny the way we want to. So smile, because God has been fair to you. He has indeed given you everything you need to make meaning out of your life. Now that reminds me that making meaning out of one's life does'nt merely mean becoming an engineer, a doctor, an accountant or a journalist, it also includes being aware of the people out there who unfortunately are not as lucky as us and saving our sympathy and compassion for them.

You have got one life. Live it to the fullest.
Never lose hope. Who knows what the future holds for you?

:)

Its over. FINALLY!! Now you can take a deep breath. :)
ANd please comment! :)
