the worst of man and child
once upon a time in a forest on Mars
a bear rampaged the land, the trees, and the cars
every monkey, donkey, bee, or bird
that went close to him, was sure to get hurt
his claws were sharp, the bear was strong
nothing got him peace, neither food nor song
once upon a time in the same forest on Mars
the bear fell asleep under the stars
(it was day so they weren't visible!)
the ants trickled over, hundreds, and more
climbed his legs, tummy, entered his nose
they were curious to search, wanted to see
what was it that made the bear so angry
till a shout came from the feet
"it's this thorn here, i bet! you must see"
in an attempt to bring peace to their land
peace to the land and this man
"dum laga ke haisha" they began to shout
and pop, the thorn came out!
now he'll be happy, and we'll be happy too
we'll all get a chance, to start anew
a loud yawn from the corner, as he opened his eyes
the bear was groggy, shocked, and surprised
the ants in a corner, the thorn was out
he went up to the ants, and looked down
how dare you, how dare you remove my thorn
my pain, to me, i hold very dear
it is it that cares for my broken soul
how dare you, how dare you pull it out
how dare you pull it out!
